About Us
Hi, I’m Malachi — the face behind Cima Costera, a real estate media brand serving the Tampa Bay Area and beyond with luxury listing visuals and digital marketing support. Basically? I’m your new Real Estate Media BFF!
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, I made the move to St. Petersburg, Florida for work—and instantly fell in love. The coastal architecture, gulf breeze, white sand beaches, and sun-drenched properties completely changed how I saw space, light, and design. How could I not pick up a camera? What started as a creative outlet quickly became a passion—and then a business.
Now, I get to blend that big-city hustle with laid-back coastal charm, helping agents market properties with visuals that feel high-end, aspirational, and completely unforgettable.
What’s in a Name?
Cima Costera isn’t just a pretty name—it’s rooted in my identity. As a Panamanian-American, I drew inspiration from Cinta Costera, a gorgeous oceanfront stretch in Panama City full of energy, movement, and style. In Spanish, “Cima” translates to “summit” or “peak,” and “Costera” nods to the coast—together, it captures the vision: visuals that sit at the top of the market and feel warm, elevated, and unforgettable.
When I’m Not Holding a Camera?
You’ll probably find me on a beach, planning my next trip, blasting Taylor Swift’s discography (yes, all 11 eras), or telling people about that one time I hiked an active volcano in Guatemala (Yes, it was 6 hours uphill. Yes, my legs still remember). I love exploring new cities, soaking up the sun, and finding beauty in everyday moments—on or off the clock.
From Coding to Creativity
Believe it or not, I started my journey as a Software Engineer—and still am one today! I’ve always loved solving problems, building systems, and geeking out over clean design. But as much as I love tech, I’ve always craved a space where I could flex my creative side too.
That’s where photography, branding, and content creation came in. While I was building websites and writing code, I was also deep into the world of digital media—shooting on weekends, designing marketing materials, managing content calendars, and making social media look intentional and inspired. Turns out, I didn’t have to choose one or the other—I could blend them.
Now, I get to bring both brains to the table: a tech-savvy mind that understands structure and strategy, and a creative eye that knows how to tell a story.
